20 Dec 1917 Society
Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) was founded in 1917 by a group of extremely dedicated women. For over 100 years, JLC has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It is an organization women can depend on to offer volunteer opportunities, leadership development and lasting friendships.
The 1917 Society has been established to honor the women who founded Junior League of Chattanooga. Members of the 1917 Society are dedicated to securing the future of JLC by contributing a gift of $1,917 or more each year. Membership is not restricted to League members, but can also include friends, spouses or others.
Members of the 1917 Society will receive a number of benefits and special recognition opportunities including name recognition in JLC publications including Jottings magazine and the League Chatt monthly newsletter.
Perhaps the most important benefit of membership in the 1917 Society is the tremendous sense of satisfaction you will have knowing that you are an important part of ensuring the financial security of Junior League of Chattanooga!
