The Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) and PlayCore are pleased to announce the selection of Highland Park’s Shaw Park as one of three recipients for PlayCore’s 2007 Employee Build Program.  Shaw Park was selected by the 2006-2007 Provisional Class as their Provisional Project. The goal was to renovate the playground and to offer the children of the Highland Park community an opportunity to be active and to develop healthy lifestyle habits.  The project tied in well with our newly announced Healthy Starts Initiative.  Shaw Park was nominated by PlayCore employee and JLC active member, Stephanie Devine, Product Manager for PlayCore/Play & Park Structures, and David Hill, PlayCore/Swing-N-Slide Senior V.P. of Marketing & Sales.

Shaw Park’s new playground was built on Saturday, October 27, 2007 as a collaborative effort between PlayCore employees, the Junior League of Chattanooga and members of the Highland Park community.
